Apiari LLC and Apiari Inc. (collectively, Apiariwe or us) is committed to respecting the privacy of your information, and wishes to protect it while also providing you with full and transparent disclosure about our uses of your information. This Privacy Policy (Privacy Policy) describes the information we collect through our website, applications, online services, text or call (collective, the Service), and how we collect and use this information. This Privacy Policy is incorporated by reference into Apiari’s Terms of Service, and any terms not otherwise defined herein shall have the meaning assigned to them in the Terms of Service.

1. COLLECTION AND USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

1.1 Collection of Personal Information
Depending on how you use the Service, we may ask you to share personally identifiable information (Personal Information) with us. Whether you choose to share your Personal Information is completely up to you, but you may not be able to access the Services without sharing some Personal Information. Personal Information includes any information that identifies or can be used to identify, contact or locate you. Examples include your name, address, email address, phone number, age, expected due date, household information, and credit card information. We will require your Personal Information in order to recommend appropriate Care Providers to you. We may also ask you for further Personal Information when we communicate with you regarding a particular Service. Any communications you send to us (for example, support requests, questions or comments, or reports of a problem) may contain Personal Information.

We believe that you should have control over your Personal Information. If at any time you wish to terminate your use of the Services and remove all of your Personal Information from our Service, please email us at hello@theapiari.com.

1.2 Use of Personal Information
We will use your Personal Information for purposes of providing the Services, and will share your Personal Information with your Care Provider(s) solely for purposes of providing the Services. Each Care Provider will be subject to similar or stricter confidentiality obligations than those set out in this Privacy Policy. Your Personal Information will be used to:
(a) Identify you when you use the Services;
(b) Enable us and the Care Providers to provide you with the Services and the Services;
(c) Send you information that we believe you may find useful (including other services, programs or opportunities);
(d) Enable us to contact you regarding any question you make through the Services;
(e) Analyze the use of the Services and the people visiting to improve our content and Services;
(f) Customize the Services for you; and
(g) Use for other purposes that we may disclose to you when we request your information.

1.3 Reviews and Other Public Content
You will have the opportunity to provide reviews about Care Providers. You agree that we may store these contributions, and use them for evaluation, training and promotional purposes. 

1.4 Inviting Friends
You may invite your friends to join the Service by providing their contact information to us. We will use your friends’ contact information to invite them to sign up for Services. We may store their Personal Information in our records, but will not send them promotional emails unless they register for an account or otherwise request us to do so.

1.5 Payment Information
To process payments, we will require your credit card information and billing information. Users will also have the option of storing this information as part of their account information. Credit card transactions are processed through Square, Stripe or Quickbooks.

1.6 Messages and Calls
Apiari uses a third party software, Twilio, to generate dedicated personal telephone lines that you can use to contact specific Care Providers. If you call or text message a Care Provider using the dedicated personal line provided by Apiari, Apiari and Twilio receive in real time and store call data, including the date and time of the call or text message, the parties’ phone numbers, and the content of the text messages. You agree to our access and use of this call data as described above.   

1.7 Photographs of Completed Services
If you are using Apiari to request Services, Care Providers booked through Apiari may take photographs of completed services and provide them to Apiari for training and quality assurance purposes.

2. COLLECTION AND USE OF NON-PERSONAL INFORMATION
Non-personal information is information that does not identify the specific Customer. This type of information may include things like the URL of the website you visited before and after visiting our Service, the type of browser you are using, and the IP address of the computer you use to visit the Service.

2.1 Cookies
We collect some anonymous information about how you use the Service by setting and accessing cookies on your computer. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer. These cookies track information such as how often you visit the Service, what pages you view, and where you go after you leave the Service. The cookies track your computer, not you. They are not connected to any personal information about you. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies but, if you prefer, you can change your web browser to prevent acceptance of cookies or to notify you each time a cookie is set. You can refer to your web browser’s documentation for details on how to do so. Please note that by blocking or deleting cookies used on our Service, you may not be able to take full advantage of our Services.

2.2 Activity and Log Data
We automatically store information related to your use of the Service in our log files, such as the pages you view on the Service, your browser type, IP address, operating system, referring URL and the date and time of your visit. We use this type of information to administer the Service and to analyze trends. This information is not tied to personally identifiable information.

2.3 Web Beacons and Other Tracking Devices
We may use other industry standard technologies like web beacons or tracking pixels to count the number of users that visit a page on the Service that includes these web beacons. Web beacons are used to report on site traffic and are used to analyze the effectiveness of advertising campaigns and how Customers interact with the Service. The web beacons do not identify individual users and analysis of data obtained is performed on an aggregate basis. We may also rely upon third parties to assist with the use and implementation of web beacons. We may also use third-party advertising companies to serve or track ads on the Service. These companies may use non-personally identifiable information about your visits to the Service and other web sites in order to measure advertising effectiveness and to provide advertisements about goods or services that may be of interest to you.

2.4 Disclosure of Your Information to Third Parties
(a) Disclosure By Law; Protection of Us and Others. We may disclose information you provide if required to do so by law, at the request of a third party, or if we, in our sole discretion, believe that disclosure is reasonable to (i) comply with the law, requests or orders from law enforcement, or any legal process (whether or not such disclosure is required by applicable law), (ii) protect or defend rights or property of Apiari or an affiliate thereof, or a third party, or (iii) protect someone’s health or safety, such as when harm or violence against any person (including you) is threatened.

(b) Business Changes. e may share your information with any parent company, subsidiary or other affiliates under a common control, in which case, we will require them to honor this Privacy Policy.

3. CHANGES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY
We may revise our Privacy Policy from time to time. The most current version of the Privacy Policy will govern our use of your information and will always be located on this webpage. If we make a change to our Privacy Policy that is material, we will notify you either by prominently posting a notice of such changes before implementing the change on the Service and/or via the email associated with your account. By continuing to access the Service and use the Services after those changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Privacy Policy.
